I really enjoyed this because I love ice creams…and cherries altogether! It’s important that we know how to make our own ice creams because those which are sold in supermarkets have lots of conservatives and chemicals. So making your own is somewhat healthier, though it’s still a treat I would eat from time to time! I don ‘t want my body to be loaded with sugar!
Hi Angel,
Many thanks for your comment, really glad that you love ice cream and cherries, they are a great combination.
You are absolutely correct, shopbought ice creams are loaded with preservatives and additional chemicals, which makes homemade ice cream shine through in quality and healthfulness. Check out our article – Homemade Ice Cream vs Shop Bought Ice Cream – which provides a great comparison and highlights the differences between homemade vs shop-bought.
Regarding sugars, yes it’s true ice cream can contain sugars, but you’ll be pleased to know that with some considered amendments, and the use of natural sweeteners, you can enjoy a more healthful ice cream treat. Check out our article – Balancing Flavour and Health: Natural Sweeteners and Homemade Ice Cream – which provides lots of ideas on the alternatives that you can use.
Once again, thanks for your comment and for sharing your thoughts.
All the best
Cherie :o)
