Why Peaches? The Health Benefits of This Summer Fruit 🍑
Peaches aren’t just sweet and juicy — they’re also packed with good stuff:
- High in vitamin C, which supports skin health and immunity
- A natural source of antioxidants that help fight free radicals
- Low in calories, yet bursting with flavour (making them ideal for lighter desserts)
- Contains fibre, which supports digestion and helps you feel fuller for longer
And when blended into ice cream or frozen pops, their natural sweetness means you can reduce added sugar too — win-win!

The Easiest Homemade Peach Ice Cream Recipe (No-Churn)
Perfect for those scorching days when you can’t face plugging in a machine, this no-churn peach ice cream delivers creamy, fruity bliss with minimal effort.
(Prep time: 15 mins, plus 4–6 hrs freeze time | Serves 6–8)
Ingredients:
- 400g ripe peaches (about 4 large), peeled and sliced
- 300ml double cream

- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- Juice of ½ lemon (to brighten the flavour)

- Gently fold in the condensed milk, vanilla, lemon juice, and peach purée.
- Taste and adjust sweetness with honey/maple if needed.
- Pour into a freezer-safe tub and freeze for 4–6 hours until firm.

🍑 Peach Lollipops (Aka Popsicles!) — The Ultimate Cool-Down
If there’s one frozen treat my freezer always holds during heatwaves, it’s fruit lollies. They’re light, refreshing, and perfect for little hands (or grown-up cool-down moments!).
Here’s how easy it is:
(Prep time: 10 mins, plus freeze overnight | Makes 6 lollies)
Ingredients:
- 500g ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 100ml coconut water or plain water
Method:
- Blend all the ingredients until smooth.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if needed — remember, freezing mutes sweetness a little.
- Pour into lolly moulds and freeze overnight.
Serving tip: Dip the tips in a little yoghurt and roll in chopped pistachios for a fancy finish!

If you’re planning to make peach lollipops (or any fruity popsicles this summer), having a good-quality ice lolly mould makes all the difference — easy to use, reusable, and gives you perfect pops every time.

Quick Tip: If you spot bargain peaches at the market — grab them! Peaches freeze really well and you can slice and freeze extras for future batches of ice cream or pops. Just defrost slightly before blending.
Fancy an Adults-Only Twist?
Want to “adult up” your peach ice cream or lollies for a summer garden party or BBQ? A splash of something boozy can add depth and fun — just remember, alcohol lowers the freezing point, so a little goes a long way.
Here are some delicious pairings to try:
✅ Peach Schnapps — adds extra peachy sweetness with a gentle kick
✅ Prosecco or Champagne — fold through as a ripple just before freezing for a Bellini-inspired vibe
✅ Amaretto — brings out almond notes that pair beautifully with peaches
✅ Vodka — neutral, lets the peach shine but adds an adult edge
How much to add?
For a standard no-churn batch (6–8 servings), start with:
👉🏽 2–3 tablespoons of liqueur for a subtle infusion
👉🏽 Up to 4 tablespoons if you want it more pronounced — but beware, too much and your ice cream may not set properly!
For lollipops:
Limit to 1–2 tablespoons total, or the pops won’t freeze firmly.
Tip: Stir alcohol in at the peach purée stage for even flavour, or ripple through just before freezing for a pretty swirl and punchy hit.
Storage & Swaps
✅ How long will it keep?
- Ice cream: 2–3 weeks in an airtight tub (if you don’t eat it sooner!)
- Lollipops: 1 month in the freezer — handy for sunny days on repeat
✅ Vegan swaps:
- Swap double cream for coconut cream
- Use plant-based condensed milk (yes, it’s a thing!) or full-fat coconut milk plus extra maple syrup
The Final Scoop
Whether you’re whipping up a tub of silky peach ice cream or stocking the freezer with cooling peach lollies, this sun-drenched fruit is your ticket to summer refreshment.
And honestly — when London’s clocking 33°C – who wouldn’t want a freezer full of peachy goodness ready to go? 🍦

I love peaches! They’re packed in vitamin C, they’re juicy and extremely tasty! My only regret is that I can only eat them in summer and not all year round! Anyway, I’ve never tried to make ice creams with peaches but I’ll try this year. I generally favor berries but there’s no reason I shouldn’t try peaches! An when you started citing peach liquors, it was the end! I love Prosecco, it’s one of my favorite liquor!
Hi Angel — thank you so much for your lovely comment!
I couldn’t agree more — peaches are an absolute summer gem, and they do make for the most luscious ice cream and lollies. I think you’ll really enjoy experimenting with them this year — especially if you’re already a fan of prosecco and peach liqueur… that flavour combo is irresistible!
